Genopole is the leading French biocluster dedicated to research in genetics, genomics and applied biotechnology for healthcare and the environment. It brings together 17 academic laboratories, 66 biotech companies, 24 shared-use technology platforms and university teaching facilities. The biocluster's objectives are to promote research in genomics, post-genomics & related sciences, transfer technology to industry, develop high-level life science teaching & training and foster the creation and growth of biotech companies. Genopole is supported by the French government, the Ile-de-France Regional Council, the Essonne Departmental Council, the Grand Paris-Sud Urban Area, the town of 'vry and the AFM-Telethon.
